From New York to Boston to Seattle — and most recently Callaway Gardens — the TAYP Retreat has brought together the largest gathering of Tunisian professionals in the U.S. over the past few years. As we look forward to continuing this proud tradition, the TAYP Executive Team is excited to invite submissions to host our next retreat, scheduled for April 2026.
We are looking for a vibrant city and an energetic, engaged local team that can secure an exceptional venue and rally strong community support to make this event a success.
What We Are Looking For:
- Two Local Leaders: They will form the core of the Retreat Organizing Committee, responsible for overseeing the retreat’s planning, execution, and evaluation.
- A Suitable Venue: Propose 1–3 potential venues that can accommodate the retreat’s needs. The venue should be able to host 140+ attendees. Venue rental, coffee breaks, gala dinner, AV equipment, and related event costs should be limited to no more than $220 per person.
- Affordable Accommodation: Identify one or more nearby hotel options, with at least one option priced at or below $250 per night per room. Additional options can be included to give attendees flexibility to choose based on their preferences and budget.
- Local Support: Assistance from local Tunisians who can participate in the retreat and support the Organizing Committee.
Submission Guidelines:
- City Introduction: A brief overview of your city and why it would be an ideal choice for the retreat.
- Venue Options: Details of 1–3 proposed venues, similar in style to previous retreat locations such as Glen Cove Mansion Hotel (New York), Tupper Manor (Boston), Edmonds Waterfront Center (Seattle), or Callaway Gardens (Atlanta).
- Accommodation Details: Information on overnight stay options, keeping within a maximum of $250 per night per room.
- Initial Fundraising Plan (if applicable): For events with higher costs than $220 per person, the Organizing Committee should provide an initial fundraising plan that could offset the additional costs, keep registration fees low, and ensure the retreat breaks even, as TAYP retreats are produced at cost. The TAYP Executive team will offer support and materials from the last retreat to support the local leaders.
- Local Support Estimate: An estimate of the number of local Tunisians who can participate and how many can assist the organizing committee.
- Local Leaders’ Bios: Brief biographies for each proposed local leader, highlighting their relevant experience, community involvement, and qualifications to serve as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Retreat Organizing Committee.
Submission Deadline:
Submit your proposals by June 22, 2025 to info@tayp.org.
Selection Process:
The TAYP Executive Team will review all proposals and select the host city. Follow-up calls may be organized to answer any questions. The selected city will be announced by July 1, 2025.
For any questions, please contact info@tayp.org.
We look forward to receiving your proposals and are excited to bring the 2026 TAYP Retreat to your city!
