TAYP: Creating a Committed Community

One of TAYP’s biggest strengths is the commitment of its members to create a community that not only works hard to accomplish the mission of the organization, but also creates lasting relationships and sustained bonds between members throughout the United States and Tunisia. TAYP is more than its projects. Instead, it is sustained by the friendships, friendly conversations, and events that tap into members’ innate creativity.

For 2015, one of TAYP’s goals was to build up our membership base through events and gatherings. On June 7, ahead of the semi-annual board meeting and reception, TAYP members got together for a barbeque where they caught up with old friends. Similarly, TAYP members based in Tunis hosted a party for members and friends. This was a great way to meet other Tunisians committed to a better future for their country, and provided an opportunity for them to get involved in our work.

To keep up the outreach momentum, TAYP will be hosting a reception in Tunis on August 18th for members and special guests. This event will bring together key businesspeople, entrepreneurs, civil society activists, and government officials for a night of networking, announcements, and great company!

TAYP is committed to increasing these types of events in the coming months in cities around the US, and throughout Tunis. Please stay updated on upcoming events by checking our website, Facebook, and Twitter pages!
